The green envelope the automotive world, we now understand new words in green. Let us learn from some of these new conditions.
E85
E85 is a blend of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline. This is the usual mixture of alcohol-based fuel, and decreases slowly to the distribution across the United States and other countries. He added that the small amount of oil, a number of benefits including the ability to start in the supply of extremely cold climates.
Ethanol
Ethanol is a fuel which is regarded by many as the alcoholic solution to gasoline and other petroleum-based fuels. In the past, are rich sources of ethanol from sugar – corn is most common in the United States, sugarcane in Brazil – but a new cellulosic process (see part I) the number of stocks food can grow. Ethanol can actually increase the efficiency of a combustion engine. But compared to gasoline, it also contains less energy, measured in BTUs per liter and kilometers and generally lower.
Fuel
First conceived in the mid 19th century made the first serious application of fuel cells to power U. S. Apollo moon mission. In its simplest form, is fueling the hydrogen technology in a page from a stack and oxygen (or normal air) in another. Systems the most common fuel cell is covered by a proton exchange membrane catalytic hydrogen, which they combine with oxygen causes. The reaction caused both water vapor and a small amount of electricity used to power an electrical box – or an electric motor. Fuel cell batteries are sometimes described as “batteries”.
Battery Lead
One of the most common types of batteries, lead plates, and combines the technology of an acid such as hydrochloric acid, the current production. The interaction of acid to lead, an electrical current. It is difficult, but relatively inexpensive and robust.
Lithium
The main ingredient in two new and promising forms of batteries, lithium ion and lithium polymer. All common rechargeable portable devices such as MP3 players, laptops and mobile phones, based on lithium batteries much power (energy) to store both and can store and quickly released. But they are also very expensive, which limits their use in devices such as hybrid and electric vehicles, which require limits of very large units.
